Overview

The challenge?  Spend five days feeding yourself with $2.25 a day – the New Zealand equivalent of the extreme poverty line.

The reason? To give a glimpse into the lives of 1.4 billion people who have no choice but to live below the line every day – and who have to make $2.25 cover a lot more than food

Live Below the Line is a campaign that's changing the way people think about poverty - and making a huge difference - by challenging everyday people to live on the equivalent of the extreme poverty line for five working days. The last week of this month will see thousands of people around the country take part in this great charity fundraising event. Once you sign up, you simply choose which top kiwi charity you want your money to go to – then start fundraising!

With Jonah Lumu as the face of the campaign – the team behind the campaign are hoping to make this the biggest year yet. It’s not too late to sign up, and every single dollar helps, so whether you raise $5 or $500, sign up and help make a difference.
