Overview

Come June 5, the walls of the Allpress Gallery in Freemans Bay will be decorated with the intrepid musings of the Carwash Photo Group; ten insanely talented artists, each with their own story to tell.

It's no mean feat bringing together ten busy dudes and weaving their stories together to present a cohesive collaboration, and that's exactly why this five-day exhibition is worthy of your attention.

Capturing the mundane with an overtone of melancholy, the boys somehow manage to give the everyday environments we so often disregard an air of exclusivity and beauty, choosing instead to blur the elements and create works that will likely have you looking at those pigeons in the park with a fresh perspective.

The Carwash Photo Group are: Brendan Kitto, Edward Howie, Stjohn Milgrew, Jamie McCready, Joe Hockley, Kieran Lowe, Mark Barber, Nigel Roberts, Raymond Sagapolutele and Tim D.
