Overview

The first of M8$, a new regular mid-month party held at Cassette Number Nine promises to be a cracking good night out. This month's party has an awesome disco/dance/pop lineup that will suit anyone in need of a good dance on Friday night. Headlining the party is Wellington based Indie-synth-pop artist Pikachunes (Miles G. Loveless).

Miles founded Pikachunes in 2009 and has since taken his sweet synth-pop tunes and Blur-esque/1990's voal style to Europe, the US, Australia, and of course, all over NZ. He has crafted an EP and a full album, both of which can be sampled on Lil' Chief Records. He has played alongside Gold Panda, Bacherlorette and New Zealand's own pop royalty, Princess Chelsea.

The alternative-ambient-electronic artists Career Girls and Team Cat Food will also play sets, along with a bunch more to give you a jam-packed Friday night. Tickets are $5 before 11pm, and $10 after, doors at 9 with kicking things off DJ Lotion,Team Cat Food following at 10pm, Pikachunes at 11pm and Career Girls at midnight.
