Overview

Mac DeMarco is heading back to New Zealand for the first time in four years. The Here Comes Mac DeMarco tour will see the Canadian-born songwriter perform across Australia and New Zealand this summer, with one performance at Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday, 8 January.

DeMarco has created waves in the indie music scene with his laidback persona and warped hits like 'My Kind Of Woman' and 'Salad Days' — both of which proved extremely popular here in New Zealand. Recorded from his Los Angeles studio, his latest album Here Comes The Cowboy encompasses his thoughtful and introspective take on life, with a distinctive indie sound.

Joining him for the Auckland show is Fazerdaze. Since releasing her debut album Morningside in 2017, Amelia Murray has toured the globe, performing at Coachella and Latitude, along with several shows in Asia, Europe and North America.

This evening of contemporary and cruisy music is the perfect event for your Wednesday night. Enjoy the sounds of Mac DeMarco with gentle instruments and thoughtful lyrics, complemented by one of the country's favourite local artists.
