Overview

Thrift Shop golden boy Mackelmore is at last heading our way later this month, for the penultimate leg of his Heist World Tour.

Without the backing of a major label, Mackelmore rose to prominence thanks to his work with American producer, Ryan Lewis. Together the pair have released a gold selling album, two EPs and several singles, gaining widespread appeal in the process.

The Heist sold 78,000 copies in its first week, and debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, an impressive achievement not managed by many. Favoured by critics the album has been praised for its ability to stand aside from the deluge of dime-a-dozen hip hop/R&B albums that seem to get released more or less every single day.

Macklemore’s live performances are as admired as his recorded work, with many rising him up above the likes of the Silversun Pickups, Dia Frampten and Chiddy Bang.
