Overview

In the weeks that make up the metaphorical red carpet roll-out to fashion week, Marr Factory is back for another year of top designer collections showcased in the more laid-back setting of Golden Dawn.

Presented by hair and beauty expert, Stephen Marr, the event is a week long showcase of leading designers, including Karen Walker on Sunday, Nom*D on Monday, Zambesi on Tuesday, Helen Cherry and Workshop on Wednesday, and then Kate Sylvester wrapping up the week of fashion festivities on Sunday. Unlike official fashion weeks, the show takes place in a relaxed, yet buzzing atmosphere at Golden Dawn in Ponsonby, with a makeshift catwalk carved through the crowds by models wearing the designers' latest collections. Marr Factory is an opportunity to grab a sneak peek of upcoming spring/summer collections up close with potentially a gin and tonic in hand, and a post-show gift bag.
