Overview

Since its inception in 2016, Morning People has developed a cult following and attracted some of New Zealand's best DJs, including the likes of Aroha, Greg Churchill, Dan Aux, Sambora (from Shapeshifter) and electronic live act Yoko Zuna. The hump day morning rave was started by co-founders Vanessa Scott and Jamie Newman — who also introduced the No Lights No Lycra concept to New Zealand.

Kicking off at 6.30am, the parties are drug and alcohol-free and participants are encourage to let loose and get sweaty. For the next instalment Morning People is bringing dance duo Lee Mvtthews to downtown rooftop venue HI-SO. Get amongst those feel-good Morning People vibes while soaking up 180 degree views of the Waitematā harbour 16 stories up.

The $20 entry fee includes complimentary bottomless coffee and some snacks. Attendees are encouraged to dress to the nines – animal prints, frocks, smoking jackets, dressing gowns, pyjamas are all welcome. Start your day with a rave like no other.
