Overview

It's highly likely that you've heard of Dominion Road's New Flavour. The iconic Cantonese restaurant with the 200-dish menu is a must-visit for fans of spicy deep-fried chicken, braised beef noodle soup, bean curd salad, and mountains of pork and chive dumplings.

In celebration of NZ Chinese Language Week 2019 (22–28 September), New Flavour is opening the doors to its kitchen for a free dumpling making workshop on Saturday, 28 September. Embracing traditional Chinese techniques, visitors will learn how to make authentic dumplings. The lesson will cover the basics of making dumpling wrappers and fillings and the traditional methods of preparation.

At the end of the class you'll get to taste your own hand-made creations.

NZ Chinese Language Week is an initiative that aims to increase Chinese language learning in New Zealand.
