Overview

Is there any greater combination than chocolate and coffee? The New Zealand Chocolate and Coffee Festival certainly doesn't think so. The biggest annual celebration of chocolate and coffee makes its sweet return to Auckland this September.

On Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, The Cloud will be turned into a shrine for all things sweet and bitter, where coffee and chocolate fans will have the chance to sample the best players in the industry.

Over 50 of New Zealand's tastiest brands will be strutting their stuff at the festival, including craft chocolate makers The Foundry, Rude Health coffee and Lotus Biscoff spread.

The festival's exhibitors aren't just restricted to its namesake. Much-loved brands like Loveblock Wines, Quick Brown Fox and Good George Brewing will be serving up bevvies, should your taste for coffee reach its limits.

Coffee machine company La Marzocco Home will be sharing everything they know about creating the perfect espresso, in one of the two masterclasses on offer at the festival. According to La Marzocco Home, creating coffee involves balancing science and art, and will show coffee lovers how each step affects the final result.

Loveblock Wines will also be hosting a masterclass, showing off another match made in heaven – chocolate and wine. In this class, you will taste four wines, from a light wine to a heavier red, and match them with the perfect piece (or pieces) of chocolate.

Masterclass students will be some of the first people in New Zealand to try a brand-new Loveblock Wine, which won't be on the market until 2024.

Tickets for the festival start at $25, with options to add on a masterclass or two and access to the exclusive Chocolate and Coffee lounge.
