Overview
New Zealand's week of fashion is finally here. Once again, New Zealand's leading designers are on show to the invited buyers and media from around the globe, with this year giving particular attention to those from the developing Asian and U.S. markets.
The week kicks off on Tuesday, (click here to see the full designer schedule), with the shows being for trade, media and other invited guests only. The public get to have a glimpse of the action during the week via the Designer Selection Shows, which offers a selection of the best designs available during the week. The show is produced by renown fashion photographer Marissa Findlay.
And then of course there is New Zealand Fashion Weekend, which consists of a number of public shows, as well as the popular Designer Garage Sale, which is basically controlled chaos as thousands battle it out to score bargains from New Zealand's top design labels.
Whether you are into fashion or not, you cannot deny the hype created by this huge fashion event. Enjoy the parties, indulge in the bargains and get a taste of New Zealand's biggest week of fashion.
