Overview

Auckland has a new last-minute music festival. This time, it's a festival within a festival on the top floor of the Town Hall. Matthew Crawley, of Golden Dawn fame, has curated a free program of weird and wonderful live acts and DJs across five evenings and weekend days.

As part Auckland Live's Fringe Town program — a six-day extravaganza in line with Auckland Fringe Festival — Outsider Sounds will see the top floor of the Town Hall inhabited by acts like Hamish Kilgour of iconic band The Clean, synth-pop duo Imugi, instrumental surf jazz combo Salon Kingsadore, experimental composer Kraus, and indie pop artist Night Pilot.

The space will come complete with a pop-up bar.
