Melbourne bedroom producer and DJ Andras Fox creates a raw brand of dance music that feels just as appropriate on the dance floor as it does in the lounge. His skilful programming dabbles in everything from soul, jazz and g-funk, and capitalises on the humanistic qualities of loose bass lines, erratic percussion, horns and jazz flute.

His prolific output of work can be sampled via a series of vinyl and cassette releases through labels This Thing Records & Tapes, Home Loan Records, Audio Parallax Records, Two Bright Lakes and Dopeness Galore. His latest song ‘Ankle Snapper’ is the first single to come off his upcoming new EP Vibrate On Silent, set for release through Mexican Summer.

Fox will play Auckland’s Cassette Nine on Saturday 6 September. He’ll be joined by local electronic talent Team Cat Food, Effaitch and Sex Trade DJs.
