Overview
Two of today's most exciting creative talents are set to take the stage at Silo Park this Thursday. New Zealand's very own Aldous Harding and Seattle based Perfume Genius are landing for one night as part of Auckland Arts Festival.
Skyrocketing from small town New Zealand to international fame, Harding's distinct gothic sound is capturing attention the world over. Coupled with her unique intensity and mesmerising charm, there is certainly no other performer quite like her.
With a sound described as "high art, chamber pop and opulent goth-glam", Mike Hadreas' works have been recognised for their "beauty, honesty, poetry and poignancy". With a discography of original albums, his latest, No Shape, receiving critical acclaim, Perfume Genius is being hailed as a "queer icon and preeminent indie artist".
As butter is to bread, it was only a matter of time before these two performers shared the stage.
