Pod: Be True

A blessing in abundance and peace — unless you are particularly uncoordinated, then it promises to be a day abundant in learning.

If you're like me and have a long list of embarrassing yoga moments, perhaps the annual Pod: Be True - SUP Yoga event isn't for you. If however, you aren't in-fact a yoga wannabe but the real deal and genuinely desire to get your 'om' on, then this one day retreat is the perfect opportunity to step timidly, boldly, faintly or in my case clumsy into the world of SUP Yoga and more importantly of wellness. This beautifully located Okahu Bay day retreat is focused not only on teaching and creating a space for beginner paddle board yoga-goers, but on nutrition, beauty, self awareness and general wellness.

The day will follow a gentle and slow-footed schedule. An almost hybrid of gymnastic-styled stretches and ancient ashtanga yoga will be the early bird of the event, taught by Natalie Stettler. Breakfast will be included for both the mind and body with BePure holistic nutritionist Sarah Wilkinson hailing all the way from Oxfordshire and giving her far-more-than-a-few cents worth of knowledge. Following this will be a beginner to advanced paddling workshops with Starboard, which unless you fall into the water, shouldn't have you worrying about waiting your 30-minutes before swimming after breakfast.

If the idea of yoga in the middle of the ocean causes your stomach to contain butterflies… or rhinos, rest assured massage and facial sessions follow this experience, provided by the ever-relaxing Saku Skin Company. Lastly, a late lunch feast at the truly beautiful True Food and Yoga will be held with the farewell including many a blessing, Namaste and the knowledge that a portion of your ticket cost will be donated to a Cancer Rehabilitation Trust. Oh, and of course a complementary take home gift bag.

Pod: Be True promises to be a blessing in abundance and peace, unless you are particularly un-coordinated, then it promises to be a day abundant in learning.
