Overview
Good things come in small packages, or so the saying goes. Find out for yourself at the Queens Wharf Carnival; a boutique festival for the savvy city goer offering a choice selection of music, art and chances to play.
With four live acts, dance, art installations, street portraits, and street performers there's plenty to keep you amused. And if you're keen to leave the back seat there are lots of ways to get involved. Rediscover your hula hooping skills, play games or take part in one of the free workshops led by artist Burnett Rose. Bring along your Favourite Things and be part of an interactive art installation or let your imagination soar with Sky Wishes.
The sassy sound line-up kicks with Matthew Crawley followed by Isabel Rivera + Band and Pigeon. Rounding out the mix are soulful funksters, Latinaotearoa who are gracing the stage at Splore next month and Womad in March. Their unique blend of soul, funk, hip hop and latin beats is sure to put you in the mood to groove.
