Rev's First Taco Eating Competition

Overview

Ponsonby haunt Revelry has been around for six years now. To celebrate the occasion, the venue is hosting its first ever taco eating competition.

On Thursday 30 August willing participants will line up to eat five tacos as fast as they can. There will be prizes for first, second and third places, but the fastest taco consumer will take home the generous prize of free tacos for an entire year. With tickets only $10 to enter the competition — and tacos usually two for $12 on a good night — it's a fantastic deal to feast on tacos regardless of your finishing time.

Current tacos on the menu include Korean-style beef with pineapple kale salsa, smoky shredded chicken with black beans, tempura fish and mixed vegetable with guac.
