Overview
ANNOUNCEMENT: DUE TO KATY B PULLING OUT OF THE EVENT, SHE HAS BEEN REPLACED BY BRITISH DUBSTEP SUPERSTARS NERO.
Testing, testing, 1,2,3! New Zealand's award winning music festival Rhythm and Vines is holding a special side show in Auckland this September.
R&V Soundcheck will see an international electro and dubstep line-up including Diplo, Magnetic Man, Digitalism (DJ set), Nero and New Zealand's very own Ruby Frost. Expect to see elements of NZ's favourite Festival come to life in the indoor arena. I'm sure the R&V Production team are looking forward to this one off show that doesn't require dealing with a seven day bender in the outdoor elements of the East Coast.
Also on the night, Rhythm and Vines will be announcing their second release of artists, with hints of one, or two of the artists returning for the giant New Years celebration. We sure hope this is a regular event on the Auckland social calendar.
Diplo
Philadelphia based DJ, Producer and songwriter.
Diplo forms half of Major Lazer who played at Rhythm & Vines in 2009
Diplo has collaborated with several artists including (and most notably) M.I.A., Santigold, Robyn, Shakira, Kid Cudi, Bruno Mars and Snoop Dogg.

Digitalism
German dance-punk duo formed in 2004.
They liken their songs to simple chapters in a complex novel about social interaction and attraction, with distorted baselines and thumping rhythms comprising the punctuation.
Released second album 'I love You, Dude' in June 2011 which has been acclaimed by fans eager for a second album.
Digitalism has remixed tracks for Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes, Cut Copy and many others, including a re-edit of "Fire in Cairo" by The Cure.
Nero
Nero's debut dubstep release was "This Way" in 2008. Since then they have gone on to produce some of the world's most innovative dubstep music under Chase and Status's label MTA Records. On 14 August 2011, "Promises" debuted at number 1 in the UK singles chart. Their debut album entitled "Welcome Reality" was released on 15 August 2011 and debuted at number 1 in the UK album chart. No nonsense dubstep and will sure please the dubstep fraternity in New Zealand despite the diva Katy B's omission from the event.
