Overview

For the first time in their 25-year music career hip hop queens Salt n Pepa will make their way to Auckland.

The seasoned performers (pun intended), Cheryl James (Salt) and Sandy Denton (Pepa), first burst onto the scene in the late 80s with their international smash hit 'Push It', soon followed by the equally impressive 'Lets Talk About Sex'and 'Shoop'. As well as selling over 15 million album sales worldwide, Salt n Pepa were they first female rappers to be given the honor of a Grammy award.

The New York-based duo last performed this side of the equator for a sold out tour of Australia in 2011 but have never made the journey across the Tasman. See them alongside their DJ Spinderella and special guests Times X Two, DJ Reminise and female rap duo L.O.V.E. at Auckland's ASB Theatre on November 15, 2013.
