Overview
Internationally renowned Mexican street artist Saner hits Auckland for a limited time only. Fantastical creatures and quirky characters his inhabit imagined worlds, made up of a mish mash of popular culture and Mexican iconography. Masked figures feature prominently along with a certain darkness and sense of humour.
Influenced by comics, pop art and surrealism, Saner belongs to a generation of artists who wander freely between drawing, painting, graphic design and graffiti. He's well known for his enormous murals which cover entire sides of buildings. The word on the street is, he'll be doing a live installation somewhere about town, care of presenting sponsor Pacifico beer.
