Overview
There are plenty of ways to get your film fix in Auckland this summer. You could see a blockbuster on the side of a former petrochemical storage silo, attend a sing-a-long version of Grease with your canine or lie back and watch the action unfold on the roof of an observatory.
Time-travelling classic Back to the Future II is the latest film to screen on the full-dome ceiling of much-loved planetarium, Stardome Observatory. Marty McFly and Doc return in the timeless science fiction adventure to fix the damaged cause in the original. The pair travel to 2015 to prevent McFly's future son from being thrown in prison, eventually returning to discover that their own time has drastically transformed as a result. The two embark on a quest to bring back order and repair the space-time continuum.
Tickets include a glass of wine or beer and snacks. Those under 18 will get a non-alcoholic drink of their choice and popcorn.
