Overview

Get schooled by leading fashion designers, magazine editors, photographers and others on the quintessence of fashion. The Selling Dreams Viva Smart Talk Series is your ticket to an after hours experience of Selling Dreams; the best exhibition of fashion photography you'll see this year. The weekly Wednesday events feature talks and panel discussions from 6-9pm along with drinks, nibbles and music plus a few of your favourite local fashionistas.

The first event in the Smart Talk series (held January 28) features V&A Curator of Photographs, Susanna Brown, discussing the story behind the exhibition as well as including a floor talk by Kate Sylvester.

The following week, on February 5, Caroline Daley and World co-founder Denise L'Estrange-Corbet explore the history and development of our own unique sense of fashion.

On Feb 12 Andreas Mikellis and Kiri Nathan take a look at current and future trends, and on Feb 19 the 'reality' of the fashion industry is up for debate with a panel including Grant Fell, Rachael Churchward, Greg Murrell, Stefan Knight, and Damien Nikora. Rounding out the mix, on February 26, photographer Chris Lorimer lets you in on a few trade secrets and the magic behind the perfect 'look'.

Bookings are essential and tertiary students (lucky buggers) get to go for free.
