Overview

Some of the country's best thinkers and doers will unite for Semi Permanent Aotearoa 2020 this November — and tickets are totally free. The festival of creativity is being scaled back to one ten-hour symposium for 2020, with 27 inspiring talks and performances by some of our most influential designers, artists and technologists.

The event has previously featured bigwigs from brands like Google, Instagram, Microsoft, Kickstarter and AirBnB. This year, attendees will hear from leading artist Lisa Reihana, ex-Apple industrial designer Danny Coster, New Zealand's greatest living artist, Billy Apple, fashion icon Kate Sylvester, multi-talented artist, writer and musician Coco Solid, genre-bending musician and actor Troy Kingi, and more. See the full lineup here.

In an effort to show New Zealand's creative sector some love in this year from hell, as well as bring the community together and inspire new creative careers, Semi Permanent Aotearoa 2020 will be free to all. Tickets will be released by ballot, and it's recommended that you get in quick. And, so no one misses out, Semi Permanent is also live-streaming the entire event.
