Overview

Bring your friends, family, partners and even your dogs along to this unique, immersive outdoor experience. The Silent Disco Citywalk is the perfect opportunity to let loose, dress up and have a boogie.

Run by Papaya Stories and Panuku Development, and scheduled to fall in line with the next full moon, this interactive event has been inspired by the Māori lunar calendar. Attendees are invited to turn up early and slap on glow-in-the-dark florescent face paint inspired by the Maramataka elements, from plants to fish.

The travelling silent disco is made possible with special wireless headphones that will feature music, jokes, positive affirmations and narration from Darth Vader along the way. You'll be guided through Auckland by special dance instructors who will teach even the shyest of dancers how to bump and groove to the music.

This event is a brilliant way to connect our community and involve each other in this multi-sensory 60-minute experience. The dance route begins at Silo Park and works its way through Wynyard Quarter to Queens Wharf. Get out your best dancing shoes and get dressed up for a night of non-judgemental grooving and fun.

The walk is limited to 50 people. Click here to join register.
