Overview

Ruby Chang-Jet White aka Miss Changy is known for her restaurant pop-ups, Sarawak laksa and addictive kaya toast — both of which were menu highlights at her short-run east Auckland cafe, Small Fry. This March, White is bringing back the artist-run cafe to fundraise for the Australian bushfires.

Small Fry Colours will take place on Sunday, March 1 at K 'Road's CHAIRS co-working space. From 9am to 3pm, White will be serving up colour block sandwiches based off the primary colours: red, yellow and green.

The menu will be small with only three vegetarian items: tomato with smoked nut butter and red pickles on beetroot and paprika focaccia; pumpkin with saffron labne on turmeric and safflower focaccia; and green eggs with zucchini goat feta whip on matcha and spinach focaccia. There will also be filter coffee by Coffee Supreme and juice by Almighty.

All proceeds will be split between Wildlife Victoria and Deadly Science.
