Soaked Oats

Like a happier, catchier Mac DeMarco with songs about stone fruit.

Overview

Despite the fact that they're named after every Dunedin students' favourite flavourless mushy breakfast meal, Soaked Oats are anything but bland. Their debut EP 'Stone Fruit Melodies' and sophomore effort 'No Slip Ups' are chock full of effortless guitar riffs, smooth vocals from lead singer Oscar Mein and breezy 'shoulder-pop' tunes. Their sound is super chilled, kind of like a happier, catchier Mac DeMarco.

They've just started their ascent of the New Zealand music scene, playing opening shows for Tiny Ruins, Clap Clap Riot and Ha the Unclear. The obvious next step is their national tour through hometown Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland.

The band will be joined at legendary Auckland dive, The Wine Cellar, by Ha the Unclear and A.C Freazy.
