Overview

When the sun goes down over Tāmaki Makaurau this weekend, cast your eyes towards the Harbour Bridge and you'll be rewarded with a pretty spectacular sight.

To celebrate Auckland's two-week World of Cultures festival and Race Relations Day on March 21, Auckland's iconic Harbour Bridge will be illuminated with a spectacular light show, creating brightly lit patterns inspired by many of the different cultures within the city.

While you're watching, you can tune into an accompanying soundtrack featuring some of the musicians like Chika Adeosun, Latinaotearoa, Mokomokai and Scalper. And if you can't see the bridge from your spot in the city (here's looking at you, Eastern suburbs), a delayed stream of the show will also be available online.

The light show will run every half hour from 8pm until midnight, from Friday, March 18 until Thursday, March 24. You can check out a list of the best spots around the city to view it on the official Vector website.
