Overview

After the success of Get It Together and its accompanying remix album, Sola Rosa are ready to release their fifth studio album – Low and Behold, High and Beyond. With their extensive back catalogue as well as the new material jammed full of thick bass lines, deft musicianship and tight production, Auckland fans should be ready to get their groove on this Friday night.

With five albums now under his belt, a raft of accolades and well over a decade of producing genre-splitting music, Andrew Spraggon’s work as Sola Rosa has cemented him as one of the world’s most exciting and versatile producers. He has navigated his all-star cast in a slightly new direction; producing an album underpinned by his appreciation of hip-hop beats and indulging his interest in nu-funk/soul.

"This is the first album weve really collaborated as a band. Were all really happy with the result and the way the live show is sounding. I can’t wait to take this album out on the road, weve been rehearsing new tracks for our North American tour and the new tunes are slammin."

The musical formation of brainchild Andrew Spraggon, takes on Spikey Tee, Ben White, Matt Short, Cherie Mathieson and L A Mitchell to create a musical force like youve never heard before. Blending a sensational mix of hip hop, reggae, jazz, Latin, soul and funk, Sola Rosa brings a new level of uniqueness to the ears of eager fans.

Supported by LA Mitchell and Nick D this is one night you won't want to miss. Check out the first funky single off the album featuring LA Mitchell - it goes over and above and will leave you in a spin.
