Overview

Our four-legged friends are continuously being welcomed into human activities, whether it be canine market days or doggie pool sessions. Now, thanks to Fur Child Supply Co., puppers, floofers and doggos are being invited into the cinema for quite possibly New Zealand's first dogs at the movies event.

Happening this August at Academy Cinemas, the one-off event will involve a special screening of Secret Life of Pets 2. All proceeds from the dog-friendly screening will go to SPCA New Zealand. The $20 ticket price includes the film, goodie bags and spot prizes for both humans and dogs.

It is open to all dogs and their parents, though there are a few conditions to follow: all dogs must be able to handle a busy indoor event, dogs must be on leads at all times, dogs must be taken for a bathroom break prior to the screening, and outside food and drink is prohibited at the event.

The event will run from 10am until 12.30pm on Saturday, 17 August.
