Summer Nights At The Museum

Ben Stiller makes a pretty good case for hanging out at museums after dark, right? The Auckland War Memorial Museum seems to think so.

Overview

Ben Stiller makes a pretty good case for hanging out at museums after dark. Although we won't be able to promise T-Rex skeletons coming to life, mummies howling from their tombs or that you'll befriend a cast of miniature cowboys and indians.. woah, hold on, I mean.. I'm way too old for kids movies, what was that one even called again?

The Auckland War Memorial Museum lends itself to the kid in us all for a night of adventure and mischeif exploring the darkened galleries and hallways. Essentially, they've created a huge mystery to solve before the night is up, with clues scattered throughout the museum. Coasting the halls of an historical building after dark is something that totally would have ticked the box for me as a kid, and everyone's getting into nostalgia at the moment it seems, so I reckon this is a winner.

It's also recommended that you bring a torch, which just screams out for a giant game of spotlight in the domain afterwards. Definitely something a bit more fun than a Monday night infront of the box.
