Overview

The Royal New Zealand Ballet is marking its 60th anniversary by performing what is considered the greatest of all classical ballets, Swan Lake.

Swan Lake transports the audience from ballroom to lakeside in choreographer Russell Kerr's fourth production for the RNZB. With The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra on hand to do justice to Tchaikovsky’s lush, romantic score,  Kristian Fredrikson’s opulent costume design, atmospheric lighting by John Buswell and the world class ballet company dancers it's easy to see why this production has been getting rave reviews in other centres.
Ballet lovers will not want to miss this opportunity to be mesmerised as the dancers bring every nuance of their Swan Lake characters alive through their graceful movements.
