Overview

Swap It Like It's Hot is an initiative to help reduce fashion industry waste. The idea is that you bring your 'gently used' items which are using up real estate in your closet but you're kind of sick of, and taking it along to the pop-up swap market at the Auckland Central Library Makerspace between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, November 17 in order to swap those clothes for someone else's.

The beautiful thing is that the sustainable event is absolutely free, meaning that everyone can get a new look, and no one spends a cent. Swap It Like It's Hot welcomes all sizes, body shapes and genders and any leftover clothes from the day will simply be donated to the Auckland City Mission.

During the swap market, sustainability workshops will be happening throughout the day. The event's organisers will be announcing more information in relation to those workshops closer to the day.
