Overview

Have you been out to the grand old estate that is Nathan Homestead? If you answered no, mark this exhibition in your calendar and get yourself along this month.

Contemporary painting meets traditional Māori art forms, including the patterns of weaving, and digital technology in this exhibition of Paeta Larkin's work.

Larkin grew up in Rotorua where she struggled to identify with her Māori heritage, which she now she explores through painting, weaving and digital technology.

Her way of making is unlike any other and explores geometric abstraction and pattern influenced by Māori culture.
