Overview

Not to be confused with a medium-strength computer password, Tech N9ne the American rapper, actor and founder of Strange Music earned his name from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun – which was a nickname rapper Black Walt gave him because of his fast-paced Chopper-style of rapping.

In his 20-something long and varied career, the rapper has sold over two million albums, featured on the Billboard top 100 and has had his music play as the arena entering track to MMA fights, video games, and on the soundtracks of The Hills and My Super Sweet 16. He's also collaborated with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, The Doors, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, B.o.B, Eminem, 2 Chainz and Yelawolf on his various albums, the latest being Special Effects released in 2015.
