Overview

After ten years of TEDxAuckland talks, it's time for a celebration. So this May, sponsors Vodafone and Bizdojo have teamed up with TEDxAuckland to help bring you the very best speakers right through the month.

Although the full schedule for the month hasn't yet been released, we do know that ticket numbers are very limited. The very first TEDxAuckland event will be held at Whoa! Studios, a state of the art studio known for producing both New Zealand and international productions.

Speakers include Annamarie Jamieson, the People and Culture Director for Stuff.co.nz. Jamieson has recently won Fairfax Media's inaugural Women of Influence Community Leader award for her work with The Coffee Co-Op, and has also launched the award-winning Creative Spirit program for young adults with intellectual disabilities.

Andrea Reid will also be giving a TEDxAuckland talk about her work with Auckland Council, For the Love of Bees and Auckland Transport amongst other community groups in order to create Pollinator Paths. Reid has started a movement that aims to connect the city's paths, parks and agricultural areas in order to enable the growing urban food network.

Guests will have a chance to mingle alongside speakers at The Grounds Eatery. A five-course shared dinner, accompanied by wine and drinks will be orchestrated by multi-award winning Kiwi chef Ben Bayly. All meals will be prepared using local produce from West Auckland.

If this sounds like an evening you'd like to be part of, head to the TEDxAuckland website quickly, as tickets are limited.
