The 20th Annual 24-Hour Movie Marathon
The Mt Everest of viewing experiences returns.
Overview
This summer comes the day film junkies have been waiting for: the greatest binge of the year.
For its 20th year in a row, the 24-Hour Movie Marathon returns to Auckland to bring together fanatical movie buffs in the "Mt-freaking-Everest" of viewing experiences.
More extreme than your latest Netflix addiction, the 24-Hour Movie Marathon will see you plopped firmly on the edge of your seat — or beanbag — for a whopping 1440 minutes of non-stop cinematic excellence. Only for the hardcore, your bog-standard couch potatoes need not apply.
Showing on Saturday, 7 December and Sunday, 8 December from 3pm at Hollywood Avondale, movie enthusiasts will feast their eyes on a visual smorgasbord of films from numerous genres and decades. Each flick has been hand-picked and plays unannounced to keep you guessing, but with a full 24 hours there's sure to be something for everyone.
Come in jeans, trackies or even pyjamas. For a little extra cash, you can BYO beanbags and ensure maximum comfort. The event is first come, first served, so get in quick to secure your seat.
