Overview
The annual New Zealand International Comedy Festival is quickly approaching and there’s a seemingly endless list of events to choose from. If the idea of picking from such a vast array of comedians doesn’t really tickle your funny bone, then the festival’s Big Show may be just what the doctor ordered.
The show celebrates its 10th anniversary as part of the Comedy Festival this year. The event puts four rising international talents under the spotlight for a two hour show.
The Big Show 2015 features newly converted feminist Andrew Watts as he explores how men like him can change the world; Nish Kumar is his debut New Zealand show; Britain’s Joel Dommett, who is looking to reunite a terrible emo band for the sake of a stand-up comedy show narrative; and Welsh comedian Lloyd Langford, as seen on comedy television shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Q.I. and David Mitchell’s The Unbelievable Truth.
The event is fully seated and licensed, in cabaret style.
