Overview

After beloved Fort Lane eatery Cassia sustained extensive flood damage earlier this week, chef and owner Sid Sahrawat and his team have relocated to the kitchen at Sid at The French Café in Symonds Street for a temporary pop-up combining two of his best-known restaurants.

Temporarily renamed The Cassia Kitchen, punters can enjoy the novelty of sitting in The French Café's elegant surroundings while enjoying a five-course Cassia tasting menu for $90 per person. On the sample menu are some of Cassia's famous bites, including tandoori fish with kokum sauce, charred leeks and nasturtium, a lamb seekh korma, and pork belly with Chettinad, cabbage and fresh herbs.

Taking place each Tuesday to Saturday until April 16, only one 6.30pm sitting is available each night so bookings are essential.
