Overview

Everything about this Checks gig has me thinking 'yep boys, you're doing it right.' The infamous five will be playing their first club show in Auckland at Britomart's Nathan Club this Friday and true to their rep, they're guaranteeing one helluva night. With a few recently released tracks that are, for lack of a better description, just really rad, an in-house after party, plus rumours of fried chicken being delievered at some point, there's little more you could want to assure an early morning stagger home.

If you haven't heard much from the The Checks, get educated with the attached video. Trust me, it's very loopable and the clip's pretty cool too. With a sound that fits into the rock and roll genre, the band from the North Shore are making serious tracks in the local music scene and are always getting pretty good wraps on their live shows.

So send a cheers to the weekend the right way; Checks, tunes and chicken. That, my friends, is what you call ticking boxes all over the show.
