Overview

The Goblin Market, originally a poem by Christina Rossetti, is leaping from the pages and onto the stage (literally). After receiving praise in Canada, New Zealand circus troupe The Dust Palace has announced its ten year anniversary tour this April.

The show is a contemporary circus and retells the tale of two sisters, their temptation, sacrifice, eventual salvation and fruit. The show combines performance as well as storytelling, therefore making it a spectacle for all to witness.

The performance is running in Auckland from Wednesday, 3 April to Wednesday, 13 April at Hearld Theatre. Tickets are on sale now, with early birds flying out the door for only $30.

The poem is raunchy, so the play is restricted to audience members 15 and above. Contains mature themes and partial nudity. This isn't just a show for the English Lit students, it has received standing ovations all around Canada. "Eat fruit. love lust" and most importantly, enjoy the evening.
