Well-curated crafts from NZ creators, free workshops and free coffee. This is our kind of pop-up shop.

Overview

So, November happened. Already. And what's that I hear? The tinkling of Christmas bells, that's what. With less than two months left before the time of gifts and marry-making rolls along, it's time to think about buying presents for the lucky folk in your life. I always find it a challenge to give something I know the person will enjoy, but also to make sure that the gift has been made responsibly, and is of direct benefit to its producers. Luckily, The Market is holding a pop-up shop in Ponsonby, which is bound to help solve this dilemma.

The Market is an online store that helps small local New Zealand creators sell their goods all over the world. There a well-curated selection of everything, from prints, to lovely ceramics, jewellery, homeware, leather accessories and stationary. The pop-up shop will hold an assortment of their goods, plus free workshops and events led by the makers themselves. And if you come in to browse the store between 10am and 12pm on a Friday, you will score a complimentary coffee, or hot chocolate, and tasty muesli to munch on, while you take your pick of the products on display. Sounds like a good shopping experience to me.

The Market Pop-Up is open all the way through to Christmas eve, perfect for all those last minute stocking fillers.
