Overview
From those slightly cheesy ads on C4 last year before they got really famous, to playing the likes of Lollapolooza, Glastonbury and New York’s Central Park Summer Stage, The Naked and Famous have come a long way in 18 months.
Riding a wave of success from their hit songs Young Blood and Punching in a Dream, as well as their critically acclaimed album Passive Me, Aggressive You, they've played sell-out tours in the UK, US and Germany, and now they're back for one homecoming gig at the Auckland Town Hall on 4 November.
The band's indie, electropop sound will fill the Town Hall for just one night, the return home promising a honed performance after more than 130 shows since their last in New Zealand at the Big Day Out in January.
The group’s album Passive Me, Aggressive You was released around the world in March, charting in the Top 30 in major markets including the UK and Germany. Their single ‘Young Blood’ gained platinum certification in New Zealand and currently sits at #9 in the US Alternative/Modern Rock radio chart.
They're young, they're famous, they're not actually naked, but they are a great new Kiwi band that, well, we're actually damn proud of.
All ages gig.
