Overview

One of the most iconic rock bands of all time is returning to New Zealand, seven years after their debut in 2010. The last time The Pixies touched down on our humble shores they performed two incredible sell-out shows in Auckland and one in Christchurch. This time around they're coming to our little island on March 11 playing at Vector Arena on their Head Carrier world tour.

We're set to see bassist Paz Lenchatin play with the band for the first time as an 'official member'. Paz was a key member in recording the group's sixth album, Head Carrier, and will no doubt be an integral part to the band's live performance in Auckland. She joins founding member and primary songwriter Black Francis, with fellow original members David Lovering on drums and Joey Santiago on guitar.

Fans can expect a hit-filled performance from the jarring rock band. Recent set lists have interspersed the old and new, from their 1987 debut to tracks from the new album. Support from Cut Off Your Hands.
