Part of the Matariki festival, The Revivial is a historical love story laced with the horrors of war, grand gospel music and spiritual fervour. Written and directed by Chris Molloy, it's set from 1907 through both World Wars to 1970s New Zealand, where urban drift is at its peak and the new Pentecostal Charismatic Movement has taken hold of a physically and spiritually displaced people.
