Overview

After a long journey across the USA and Europe, Depot Artspace has swung its doors wide open to welcome back the Tiny Travelling Gallery and to start its journey of the heartland. This suitcase-sized exhibition, created by Scott Savage and Colleen Pugh, is host to over 30 New Zealand lowbrow artists who's mediums range from street art, tattooing, pop surrealism, skate photography to crafts.

All the Tiny Gallery pieces are originals and, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, fairly small in size - apparently, this is to represent the cross section of lowbrow subgenres, putting emphasis on diversity in ethnicity, location and gender ratio. The not-for-profit arrangement also provides a very, very tiny platform for artists to show off and sell their to a wider audience.
