Overview

In 2014, The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, which restores sight to people across the Pacific, will proudly collaborate with the popular Fullers Waiheke Wharf2Wharf Fun Run. Regardless of whether you are a seasoned runner or a first-time rookie, anyone participating in the event, held 18 January, now has the opportunity to raise funds for The Foundation.

The Wharf2Wharf event held on beautiful Waiheke Island is in its 23rd year and caters to runners of all ages and abilities with four courses: 7, 12, 13 and 25kms. The 25km course from Orapiu to Matiatia will test even the most experienced of runners with its challenging hills, while the 7km run is perfect for more leisurely joggers.

Chances are, at this time of year you will be back at work after a busy, excessive Christmas/New Years and feeling a bit glum and unmotivated, so what better way to get the spring back in your step? And if you raise even as little as $25 for The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ you will have put the spark back into someone’s eyes - $25 is all it costs to restore someone’s sight.

Registration for the Fullers Waiheke Wharf2Wharf Fun Run, a whole lot of endorphins and general feel-good factor can be made here with discounted ferry fares available at the time of registration.
