Now that music events are slowly coming back into business, it's time to give some love to the city's arts scene that's seriously struggled over the last couple of years. Kicking things off is a new monthly series from one of the stalwart venues of Auckland's live music scene, The Tuning Fork, designed to help you discover some of the city's best local acts.

Thursdays I'm In Love is set to celebrate Aotearoa's music scene, with a gig one Thursday of each month featuring three of the Tuning Fork team's favourite up and coming artists for you to discover — or just enjoy if you're already a big fan. Treat yourself to a drink, a bite to eat and support the local acts performing.

This month they've launched a $20 beer and taco deal as well — after all, you can't bop on an empty stomach.

May's lineup includes P.H.F, a recording project from songwriter and producer Joe Locke; self-proclaimed queerbo pop-punk band Babyteeth; and four-piece live band BUB.

Taking place Thursday, May 26 at 7pm, tickets are $10 and are on sale now from Moshtix.
