Overview

In the grand finale of the Upstairs At Freeman series to celebrate New Zealand Music Month, Auckland veterans Nick D and Dick Johnson conspire as Weird Together, to conclude the month in style.

The pair will be joined by their usual international cast of friends, who religiously provide unforgettable performances for people around the country.

Described as 'irrepressible', Uncle Barnie will then take charge of the decks having taken the world by storm, crates and all. His travels have included Berlin, Edinburgh, Ibiza, Barcelona, London and New York. Barnie's exuberant sets have seen a fearless, footloose mix of Argentinean electro-cumbia, afrobeat, soca, funk, soul, early New York new wave, electro (the old kind), 80s hip hop and Thai garage rock. This sounds like a tantalising cocktail of musical madness you want to be a part of.
