Here's another event to mull over while we wait patiently for the sun to make an appearance. Sustainable Coastlines have partnered with Corona and Fly My Pretties to get Waiheke cleaned up, as it acts as a favourite place to drink, sunbathe and barbecue over the summer months.

From 10am – 1pm there will be an army of legends, including you, acting as the most highly respected tidy Kiwis. All volunteers must register online and can expect to see the barbecue fired up at 1pm as you put down your gloves and pick up a brew.

The first 40 registered volunteers will receive a ticket to the Fly My Pretties gig at Cable Bay Vineyard later on that evening. You can expect to see Fly My Pretties rolling up their sleeves and lending a hand throughout the day. All you need to bring are covered shoes as cleaning equipment is provided. It's a day to give back and look after the coastlines so we can enjoy summers to come, even if they are unpredictable and sometimes it feels more like winter, am I right?
