Overview

Calling all crooners, groovers and lovers of a good time. This Easter weekend, Waiheke Island will come alive with the bodacious jazz beats of more than 150 international musicians for the 55th annual Waiheke Jazz Festival.

Headlined by New Zealand music royalty Dave Dobbyn, the four-day festival features an unmissable schedule of events set to keep the family bopping from midday to midnight.

Catch the psychedelic soul-rock of Kiwi favourites Little Bushman set amongst the natural amphitheatre of the Rangihoua Olive Estate, or dose up on some late night swing from The Wellington City Shake-'Em-On-Downers, peppered by international flavour courtesy of the German Stefan Nagler Trio at the Aperativo Wine Bar— Oneroa's newest and best kept secret.

Easter Monday will see the addition of a long lunch at Onetangi favourite Peacock Sky, and with a mouth-watering (bonus points for being affordable) set menu on offer, grab a glass of their award-winning Sauvignon Blanc while jiving the afternoon away to the likes of Melbourne vocalist Nichaud Fitzgibbon and local legends Nairobi Trio.
