Overview

1 day, 6 speakers, 1 live performance, millions of ideas and very limited seats. Don't miss your chance to be part of  one of the most exclusive creative events of the year. If you work or study in the creative industry, then We Can Create is for you.

Showcasing established and up-and-coming creative talent from New Zealand and around the world, We Can Create is taking place on October 27 at Auckland's historical Mercury Theatre. It is about sharing ideas and knowledge, making contacts and getting inspired. Speakers present and discuss their work in a seminar, followed by a series of workshops and culminating in an amazing live performance from The Light Surgeons, the UK's leading audio-visual artists.

"We've curated a line-up of talented folk who have not only changed the world of design and communication, but in some cases changed society. Our speakers come from Japan, Brazil, Canada, London, Germany and New Zealand providing a diverse mix of thinking and influences," says event director Jon Raymen.

This year's event features anti-corporate collective Adbusters, who were behind Occupy Wall Street; creative problem solvers Assembly; renowned graphic designer Jonathan Barnbrook; Japan-based graphic artist Rockin' Jelly Bean; Thomas and Martin Poschauko present their experiment Nea Machina and handlettering artist Sarah Maxey.

A celebration of all things art and design, We Can Create is sure to be a feast of creativity.
